Cloud Architect

Position: Cloud Architect

We are looking for a Cloud Architect, who will work on MDM projects for our Fortune 500 clients

Responsibilities:
•   Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage, networking components, and other infrastructure elements on platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others
•   Deploy and manage applications, services, and workloads on the cloud using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or cloud-native services.
•   Monitor cloud resources and applications for performance, availability, and security.  Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
•   Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including access controls, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
•   Establish and manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or disasters.
•   Keep cloud infrastructure and applications up to date by applying patches and updates while minimizing downtime.
•   Monitor and optimize cloud costs by analyzing resource consumption, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost-effective solutions.
•   Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and support for cloud-based applications and services. Make recommendations and/or participate in system architecture and design.
•   Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
•   Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.

Qualifications and Skills:
•   Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others. 
•   Background in Linux/Unix Administration.
•   Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs in a cloud context.
•   Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
•   Ability to implement security best practices, including identity management, encryption, access controls, and compliance standards.
•   Experience with monitoring tools, performance analysis, and troubleshooting techniques for cloud environments.
•   Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, document processes, and provide technical support.
•   Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, can be beneficial.
•   Ability to analyze complex issues, think critically, and devise effective solutions.
•   Cloud technologies evolve rapidly, so a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and services is crucial.
•   While not always required, a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field can enhance qualifications.
